Africa-Press – Angola. Dário António, Interclube cyclist and champion of the 3rd edition of the Tour of Angola by bicycle “Alberto Silva Pepino”, celebrated the victory with emotion, having highlighted the importance of physical preparation and unity within the Police team.
“My physical condition was crucial, and thank God, we had no constraints that compromised our objectives. We managed to win the team title and second place in the overall classification with Bruno Araújo, the result of four stages won overall”, said the athlete.
Despite many doubts about the group’s performance, Dário highlighted that team spirit was crucial: “Many people didn’t believe in us, but unity ended up speaking louder”. According to the two-time champion, the group faced difficulties in securing participation, but after confirmation, everyone dedicated themselves intensely to the work.
Dário also thanked the Interclube management and the athletes’ families for their continued support, and also mentioned the competitive level of the event, marked by the presence of foreign cyclists, which required a careful strategy. “We decided to give it our all in the first stages and then opt for more controlled races.
