More than 100 companies adhering to the “Made in Angola” seal benefited from a reduction in the participation fees to the 17th U.S.-Africa Summit, which the country hosts from the 22nd to the 25th of this month, paying only US$200, out of the thousand practiced by the organization of the event, ANGOP learned Monday, in Luanda.
According to the chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Institute for Support to Small and Medium Enterprises (INAPEM), Braulio Augusto, the institution will continue to work to create benefits for companies, from various branches, in events of this kind and in others in which they can present themselves and gain more visibility.
He augured greater benefit for entrepreneurs who have the opportunity to show their potential at the summit, which he considers to be an important platform for exposing the national business fabric.
According to the manager, it is essential that these participants make the most of the event and look at the many partnerships that can be implemented.
Taking place under the motto “Paths to Prosperity”, the 17th US-Africa Summit is expected to be attended by about 3,000 people, including businessmen and government officials, and will analyse issues related to agriculture, infrastructure, electricity, health, among other cross-cutting issues that afflict African countries.
The event, framed in the 50 years of national independence, is promoted by the Corporate Council on Africa (CCA), in partnership with the Government of Angola.
CCA is a business association focused exclusively on connecting business interests between the United States and the African continent.
The last edition of the summit took place from May 6 to 9, 2024, in the city of Dallas (USA), under the motto “USA-Business in Africa: Partnerships for sustainable success”.
