Africa-Press – Angola. The authorities of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) reaffirmed yesterday, in Abu Dhabi, their interest in boosting investment in Angola, as it is one of the priority nations for investment in 2023.
According to a note from the press service of the Angolan diplomatic representation in this country, this fact was mentioned by Marcin Lapa, Executive Director General of the Private Office of Sheikh Ahmed Bin Faisal Al Qassimi, one of the families of the United Arab Emirates, at the end of the audience granted to him by Angola’s extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador to that country, Albino Malungo.
Marcin Lapa refers that “it was a great honor to meet and talk with the Angolan ambassador to the United Arab Emirates”.
He also referred to the fact that the Private Cabinet of Sheikh Ahmed Al Qassimi had already sent a delegation to the country, with the strategy essentially turned towards industrial development in growing countries, as well as projects in the sectors of agriculture, construction, minerals and energy.
At the meeting, the UAE official took the opportunity to invite, on behalf of Sheikh Ahmed Bin Faisal Al-Qassimi, the Angolan diplomat to participate in the forum called “FDI World – Diplomatic Round Tables”, scheduled for the end of this month in the city of Ras Al Khaimah.
In addition to business partnerships, Angola and the United Arab Emirates signed several Memoranda of Understanding, with emphasis on the implementation of the Digital Transformation Program (Angola Digital 2024), for Cooperation and Taking Advantage of Opportunities in the most varied Sectors, for Cooperation in the Transport and another for Exploring the Implementation of a Solar Energy and Energy Storage Programme.
