Africa-Press – Angola. The province of Uige will host, from the 16th to the 17th of this month, the second edition of the Angola Cup, in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), according to the president of the Angolan federation of the sport, Armando Diogo.
The leader provided this information, on the occasion of the fight, in which Angolan Demarte Pena defeated South African Roevan Beer, on Saturday night in the main pavilion of Cidadela, in Luanda.
He guaranteed that the conditions are created for the successful holding of the second biggest event in this type of fighting, in Angola, which will be attended by practitioners from 14 of the country’s 18 provinces.
In this competition, according to the president, the athletes who will be part of the national pre-selection will be chosen, which will defend the title in the African Championship of the sport, which will take place in May next year, in Namibia.
