Africa-Press – Angola. The chairman of the Board of Directors of Sonangol admitted, this Friday, in Luanda, that the conflict in Ukraine will also have an impact on the oil industry, as well as throughout the world, referring that it is necessary to make adjustments in logistical terms.
Sebastião Gaspar Martins was speaking at the end of a press conference in Luanda where the preliminary results of the oil company in 2021 were presented.
“Of course, as we are in a globalized world, all the effects that arise in terms of this type of conflict end up impacting the industry itself”, considered the president of Sonangol, stressing that, if the foreseeable rise in oil prices “can help” Angola , there is also an impact around the activity in terms of logistics.
“Yes, it will have an impact, in the logistical aspects we will have some need to adjust. We are monitoring the evolution of this situation”, he underlined.
