The proclaiming members of the National Union of Artists and Composers – Society of Authors (UNAC-SA) and artists who have stood out over the last few years will receive, tomorrow, at 17:00, at Palácio de Ferro, diplomas of honor and merit, within the scope of of the celebrations of the 41 years of existence of this association.

In statements to Jornal de Angola, Eliseu Major made the program known, saying that “on this important date for the class, we will deliver certificates to the members who signed, on September 9, 1981, the UNAC proclamation document, because it is important that we recognize the contribution they made to national class and culture”.

Posthumously, diplomas will be awarded to Liceu Vieira Dias, Tonito Fortunato, Beto Gourgel, Carlos Burity, Mendes Ribeiro, among other deceased members of the 101 founding members.

The spokesperson said that before the tribute, an arts fair will be inaugurated at 16:00, in the courtyard of Palácio de Ferro, which will close on the 17th. of Cinema and Audiovisuals (APROCIMA), National Union of Plastic Artists (UNAP), Union of Angolan Writers (UEA), Angolan Theater Association (AAT), among others representing Angolan arts and culture.

The arts fair has a partnership with Onart, which produces cultural events at Palácio de Ferro, and has several artistic events on the agenda, such as musical shows, plays, dance moments, book launches, poetry recitals, humor , debates and other attractions.
