Africa-Press – Angola. There were no casualties due to the incident, but the blast damaged several cars parked nearby. The crash site is currently cordoned off. A blast occurred in Zagreb on Friday after an unidentified object fell from the sky in one area of Croatia’s capital, the country’s Interior Ministry has said.
No one was hurt as a result of the explosion, which damaged several cars parked nearby, the police said, adding that the crash site is currently being cordoned off. The statement came amid reports that the unidentified object may be a Soviet-made unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) arriving from Ukraine.
According to the examined photos and videos from the site, the crashed craft may be a Soviet Tupolev Tu-141 Strizh reconnaissance drone that flew from Ukraine, the Croatian news portal Index.hr reported on Friday.
Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic, in turn, said that it remains unclear who owned the alleged drone. Since 24 February, Russia has been conducting a special military operation in Ukraine aimed at demilitarising and de-Nazifying the country.
