Africa-Press – Angola. University teachers will start a strike across the country, starting on Monday, announced the secretary general of the National Union of Higher Education Teachers (SINPES), Eduardo Peres Alberto.
According to SINPES, the strike will last until the presentation of the counter-proposal of the four structuring points by the Government, whose salary remains the main reason for the contestation.
“We are not supporters of strikes, but as we are an institution that strives for respect for the law and we are open to negotiation”, Peres Alberto said on Thursday in statements to TV Zimbo.
