Africa-Press – Angola. Adalberto Costa Júnior, candidate for President of the Republic by UNITA, is expected today in Malanje to preside over a mass political event, within the scope of the vote-hunting campaign, with a view to the General Elections on the 24th of this month.
The information was provided by the provincial secretary of the black rooster, Mardanês Calunga, during a press conference stating that UNITA militants are eagerly awaiting the arrival of Adalberto da Costa Júnior.
He added that the head of UNITA’s list is a candidate for President of the Republic in the General Elections and, in this condition, he will be received in the morning. Hours later, in the early afternoon, the president of the black rooster leads a mass act in the city of Malanje.
Mardanês Calunga said that the Malanjinos will pay their respects to the party leader, adding that this year’s election will be close, showing confidence in a victory for his party in the province.
The party leader also advanced that the mentality of Angolan citizens has risen, so that the Malanji people are mature and understand that the results that have been produced in Malanje have not helped in the development of the populations in the most varied aspects.
“I guarantee you that Malanje will be the sensational province in these elections, where we will fight for the results to be transparent, free and fair”, said the politician. Mardanese Calun-ga assured that “UNITA will surprise in the province of Malanje”.
The provincial secretary of UNITA said that a program was designed for the presentation of the electoral manifesto in the province, which could be materialized by the leader Adalberto Costa Júnior, if the work schedule allows.
Mardanês Calunga praised the role that the PGR has been playing in restoring legality in relation to the issue of withdrawing party propaganda that has been recurrent at the time of the elections.
The UNITA Provincial Committee in Malanje held, last Saturday, a mass political act in the municipality of Mucari, 54 kilometers east of the city of Malanje, with a view to convincing the electorate.
