Africa-Press – Angola. UNITA deputies underlined the party’s commitment “to remain firm in defending the consolidation of peace, national reconciliation and the building of the Democratic State and Rule of Law”, appealing to all citizens to carry out the official electoral registration.
The information appears in the final communiqué of the X Parliamentary Days of his bench, which took place in the city of Cuito from the 9th to the 11th of this month. “All citizens of electoral age must update their registration to be able to exercise their right to vote in the general elections of next August”, it reads.
In this respect, however, they recognize the organization of the branches, but appeal to the Executive to overcome the technical constraints that hamper the effectiveness of the process, with the risk of being left out of thousands of citizens, taking into account the final date.
UNITA deputies appeal to the Court of Auditors to publish the results of the audits of the State accounts, not only as an exercise in transparency, but in order to assess the consequences, especially in terms of budgetary discipline.
The UNITA parliamentary group suggests to the National Assembly that, within the scope of the inspection function of the execution of the General State Budget, the deputies can count on a technical budget support unit. UNITA marked, yesterday, its 56th anniversary.
