Africa-Press – Angola. UNITA opened Saturday, in Caxito, Bengo province, the Political Year, with a focus on participatory democracy and the responsibility of looking at the challenges of 2023.

Speaking to his militants, the national secretary for organization, Hélder Manuel Santos, said that the political year takes place at a time when militants must have the responsibility of looking at the challenges that 2023 brings, as they require the participation and involvement of all party cadres.

Such challenges, he said, are summarized in the consolidation of the strategic position that the party achieved as a result of the results of the August 2022 elections.

He referred that the party represents what are the great achievements that are expected for Angola, in terms of governance.

He reiterated UNITA’s commitment in relation to the realization of municipalities, this year, with the aim of improving the quality of life of Angolans.
