The leader of the largest opposition party said, this Monday, at the political act that ended the campaign, which will transform the city of Luanda into a special metropolitan region, with political powers, capacities and its own budget, in order to solve the problems of about seven million inhabitants.

Adalberto Costa Júnior was speaking to activists, friends and supporters, who attended the act, which moved the municipality of Cazenga, in Luanda. He added that it takes courage to implement this and other reforms. “The country urgently needs to make reforms, only through this process will it be possible to combat the social, economic and other problems that the people face”, he said.

The candidate for President of the Republic by UNITA said that the electoral campaign was one of the best tests. “We are extremely satisfied, especially with the way the people responded to our appeals at the rallies. We were heard, we are ending the campaign avoiding provocations”, he stressed that the mass political acts took place in an atmosphere of celebration, tranquility and full of hope, making Wishes that everything ends well.

Regarding the electoral manifesto presented, Adalberto Costa Júnior reiterated, if elected President of Angola, that he will carry out a cycle of Constitutional revision, to introduce the direct election of the President of the Republic and the realization of local authorities.

According to the leader of Galo Negro, all the reforms announced will help to bring the rulers closer to the ruled, and reduce poverty, unemployment and combat other social problems. “We are going to diminish the powers of the President of the Republic and hold him accountable for his actions”, he revealed.

Continuing, he reaffirmed that UNITA will boost industrial parks, development poles, to make them engines capable of bringing wealth, fighting unemployment, poverty and a dynamic economy so that Angolan families can live in the best way”. The president of UNITA, Adalberto Costa Júnior, reiterated that he will place education as the most powerful ally for the development and challenges of the future. “The UNITA government will comply with the protocols that Angola has signed, especially with SADC”. , he stressed, having mentioned that this body allocated 20 percent of the State Budget to education and 15 percent to health.
