Africa-Press – Angola. The new provincial secretary of UNITA in Luanda, Adriano Abel Sapinãla, defended, this Saturday, the need to pay special attention to youth, for the construction of an inclusive, developed and prosperous Angola.

The politician, presented today to his party’s militants in a march that culminated with a mass act in Largo das Escolas, in Luanda, noted that the challenges for the construction of the country pass through the youth who are the driving force of a society.

“We have to look at the youth with the dimension that is required and look at the country as a whole in the search for an inclusive, built and developed Angola that looks at everyone’s anxieties and hopes”, he pointed out.

The leader said that UNITA will assert its strength in Luanda, the country’s main electoral square, for whom “the challenge is to maintain the position of victory in the capital and multiply the results in the next elections”.

In the 2022 elections, in Luanda, UNITA had 62.25% of the votes and elected three deputies, against two from the MPLA.

Adriano Abel Sapinãla, who held the same position in Benguela, replaces Manuel da Costa Ekuikui, who now heads JURA, UNITA’s youth arm. He chose proximity to citizens as the main axis of his work.

The act of presentation of the new UNITA provincial secretary in Luanda, which had a strong police presence, was guided by the party’s general secretary, Álvaro Chikuamanga Daniel, who defended, on the occasion, the implantation of autarchies in all the country’s municipalities in 2024.
