Africa-Press – Angola. The United Nations System in Angola in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MIREX) celebrates the 77th anniversary of the UN, this Thursday, 27th of this month, in Luanda, in Fortaleza de S.Miguel.
According to a press release Online, it can be read that the event takes place from 6 pm and aims to mark the creation of the United Nations in 1945 and reflect on the close cooperation and collaboration maintained between Angola and the UN since 1976, when the country was recognized and admitted as the 146th full member of the same body.
The document also reiterates the commitment to “achieve a more sustainable, equitable and inclusive world for the populations of the world, in a partnership between the UN and the Government of Angola, through partnerships aligned with the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals, the order to make the world safer and fairer for all people, leaving no one behind”, he concludes.
