The US-Africa Summit announced by US President Joe Biden aims to bring African and US leaders together to discuss issues of common interest, with a view to strengthening relations between the two continents.
The summit will demonstrate the enduring commitment of the United States of America to Africa, and underline the importance of US-Africa relations and greater cooperation on shared global priorities, as well as building on common values to better promote the new economic commitment, strengthen the US-Africa commitment to democracy and human rights and to mitigate the impact of Covid-9 and future pandemics.
