Africa-Press – Angola. The 17th US-Africa Summit, to be held in Luanda in June next year, is expected to attract more than 1,500 participants, including African heads of state, senior US government officials, CEOs, investors and entrepreneurs. This is the estimate made by the Corporate Council on Africa (CCA), the organizer of the business event, which posted the information on its website.The CCA says that the summit, scheduled for the period from the 23rd to the 27th, will feature plenary sessions, discussion panels, investment pitch sessions, networking opportunities and an exhibition showcasing innovative products and services.
The CCA highlights on its website that the selection of Angola as host country is a testament to its remarkable progress and potential as a key player in the African economy.
Following this, the president and CEO of the Corporate Council on Africa, Florie Liser, said that the US-Africa Summit, which Luanda will host, will be a landmark event, which will highlight the economic potential and strategic importance of Angola as a leader in Africa, as well as recognize the growing importance of the African continent as a strategic economic, commercial and business partner for the US and the private sector.
The official also revealed that the summit will showcase Angola’s various industries, focusing mainly on the potential of the African continent, such as business and investment opportunities.
A statement from the Presidency of the Republic of Angola considers the event to be of great strategic importance, stating that it will bring together government, business and investor leaders from both continents, thus reinforcing the commitment between Africa and the United States in strengthening economic, commercial and investment ties.
The document highlights that this summit aims to discuss and promote opportunities for investment, innovation and partnerships between the public and private sectors, with a focus on areas such as Infrastructure, Energy, Technology, Agriculture and Industry.

The Presidency of the Republic announces that the summit will mark an important moment for the African continent and for the sustainable development of economies, while strengthening relations with the American market.
“The holding of this summit in Luanda is particularly symbolic, as it coincides with the 50th Anniversary of Angola’s Independence, to be celebrated on 11 November 2025”, highlights the Presidency of the Republic in the statement.
The Presidency also highlights that the event will take place at a time of great transformation and economic growth in the country, solidifying its position as a key partner in the economic and political development of the African continent.
