Africa-Press – Angola. Unidentified elements vandalized at dawn on Sunday, the official residence of the municipal administrator of Nzeto, in the province of Zaire.
According to the municipal administrator, Augusto Tiago, in statements to Rádio Provincial, the vandals broke down the doors and destroyed some goods inside the property without having subtracted the equipment mounted there.
Augusto Tiago said that he did not know the reasons behind this action, so he asked the competent authorities to clarify the occurrence in the coming days.
“I arrived at the residence after a period of absence and when I entered the backyard I realized that something was wrong. I found the doors broken into and some items scattered on the floor, such as plasmas, refrigerators, crockery and stove”, explained the administrator.
Meanwhile, the spokesman for the Provincial Delegation of the Interior, Sérgio Afonso, said that the National Police is already aware of the situation and promises to clarify what happened in due course.
On the occasion, Sérgio Afonso, asked for the collaboration of citizens to capture the presumed perpetrators to be held criminally responsible.
The village of Nzeto has been, in recent months, the scene of some crimes, with emphasis on the theft, at the end of last year, of a generator set of 140 kvas from the center for the collection and treatment of drinking water.
The theft of this generator set, by hitherto unknown elements, left more than 20,000 inhabitants of the fishing village of Nzeto deprived of drinking water. The location is 230 kilometers from the city of Mbanza Kongo, capital of the province of Zaire.
