Africa-Press – Angola. The Vice-President of the Republic, Bornito de Sousa, paid, this Thursday, in Windhoek, a tribute to the late President António Agostinho Neto, founder of the Nation and national hero, who this year, if he were alive, would have turned 100 years old. .

On an official 48-hour visit to the Republic of Namibia, at the invitation of his Namibian counterpart Nangolo Mbumba, with whom he had a “téte-a téte” in the morning, Bornito de Sousa placed a wreath on the bust of Agostinho. Neto, at the end of the visit to the premises of the Embassy of Angola in this neighboring country.

Still in the morning, Bornito de Sousa went to the “Heroes Acre” (Heroes’ Monument), about 10 kilometers south of Windhoek city centre, where he paid tribute to the heroes of the Namibian resistance war.

The Vice-President of the Republic also traveled to the localities of Etosha, Ondangwa and Oshakati, where he has planned visits to places of interest and meetings with entities representing local authorities.
