Africa-Press – Angola. More than 150 families from outlying districts of the seat of the municipality of Andulo, province of Bié, affected by natural disasters, are benefiting from basic food baskets, as part of the administration’s actions to combat hunger and poverty.
The food baskets, according to the municipal administrator of Andulo, Celeste Adolfo, aim to alleviate the difficulties of families who are in a situation of vulnerability, taking into account that many depend on agricultural activity.
It guaranteed continuous support to families in vulnerable situations, including the supply of seeds, fertilizers, hoes and machetes, for the next agricultural season.
The municipal administrator of Andulo said that the delivery of food baskets is part of the social assistance program to the most needy families, with the support of businessmen and citizens, who voluntarily decided to support those in need.
