Africa-Press – Angola. The secretariat of the Angolan Women’s Organization (OMA) in the province of Cunene, Vivência Ndalyewifa, called on women affiliated to the organization on Saturday to participate increasingly and actively in the country’s socio-economic development process.
Speaking at the opening of the sixth meeting of the organization’s executive committee, he highlighted the importance of the role played by women in society.
The leader highlighted that with courage, in a pedagogical and united way, women can improve the work to enhance the organization and consolidation of the MPLA, as a party that leads the country’s economic and social political transformations.
He highlighted the need to reflect on the role of women in the country’s development and respect for their rights, aiming to reduce asymmetries.
Vivência Ndalyewifa also asked the activists to continue working responsibly to maintain the level of the organization and face the obstacles that still face women.
Meanwhile, he said that the meeting will balance the hard work carried out by the base structures, carried out within the framework of the assembly process of review and renewal of mandates, as well as the activities carried out in the second quarter of 2023, drawing up the action plan for the year 2024 and the internal life of the organization.
