Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Public Works, Urbanism and Housing, Carlos Alberto dos Santos, announced, for the first quarter of 2024, the rehabilitation of the National Road (EN)-105, which connects Huíla to Benguela.
This is the road that leaves Lubango and passes through Cacula and Quilengues (Huíla) to Benguela, which has the municipality of Chongorói as part of the 303-kilometer section.
Carlos Alberto, who worked in Huíla until Wednesday, visited the aforementioned road and explained that it took some time to mobilize the technical team and resources, the amount of which did not advance.
According to the minister, this is an important road that has certain degraded sections, which is why the ministry’s technical team and the companies that will carry out the work were part of the evaluation group.
Another concern, he continued, is launching the connection with the province of Huambo, towards Cusse/Cuima, which is a priority for the province, where the concerns are the bridges.
