Calunga Kissanga said, at the end of a visit to the access street to the KM 30 Market, in the District of Baia, to Estrada Guarda Passagem, Rua Brasileira, do Centro Ortopédico and Rua das Madres, in the District of Viana, that the works are budgeted at more than 30 million kwanzas and that more than 20 kilometers will be intervened.
He added that the asphalt works on the Suave, Kimbangu and old Catete road, as well as on Rua das Madres, between the Mulevos/Boa Fé districts, will only start in April.
Calunga Kissanga, who accompanied the governor of Luanda, stressed that the access road to the KM 30 Market is undergoing a recovery plan, as it is a road that already has asphalt, and the intervention will be carried out in stages, taking into account financial availability.
“In a first phase, conditions will be created for motorists to have an alternative route. There was a degradation of the route, but the idea is to maintain the old profile of the road”, he said, stressing its economic importance.
The provincial director of Technical Services and Infrastructure of the Provincial Government of Luanda explained that the Maintenance and Recovery Plan for the Road Network of the Municipalities of the capital provides for the completion of 20 km/month, giving priority to maintenance work and 4 km per month of deep works, which require major intervention.
According to Calunga Kissanga, the plan covers the maintenance and recovery of degraded roads in all the municipalities of Luanda.
