Africa-Press – Angola. “Felícia – A Menina que Sonhava Ser Polícia” is the title of the most recent children’s book by Zulinni Bumba, to be placed, soon, in the national literary market, the author informed yesterday in Luanda.

The book has 40 pages and tells the story of a girl who uses her stance as a social interventionist to sensitize adults to change their behavior, regarding non-compliance and disrespect for norms at the expense of socially acceptable conduct.

In the story, 8-year-old Felícia aspires to be an agent of the National Police, to, with her attributions and powers, make people aware of having more respect for the laws and public affairs.

Road traffic, said the author, is one of the physical spaces of the book, in which the main character tries to imagine what it would be like to regulate traffic and enforce the law. “Respect for women, the preservation of public goods, social justice and equality for all, as well as the fight against any type of violence and discrimination are other topics covered in the book”, he explained, adding that the title was illustrated by Victorino Kiala.

The author also added that, despite the book being made for teenagers, it can also be read by adults, as the main players in the subject covered in 40 pages.

In addition to the publication in Luanda, Zulinni Bumba informed that he intends to present the book throughout the country, in a national awareness campaign on the importance of preserving a healthy coexistence in society. “The book is also a tribute to the National Police, for its role in society, in guaranteeing the stability of order and tranquility”, she highlighted.
