Africa-Press – Angola. Ethiopia’s Yalemzerf Yehualaw last Sunday became the youngest winner of the London Marathon, with the third fastest time ever in the women’s competition, 2 hours, 17 minutes and 25 minutes.
“I’m so happy to win the London Marathon. This is my first time here. The Londoners were pushing me so hard, it was inspiring,” said the champion after the race.
The podium was made up of Kenyan Joyciline Jepkosgei, who won last season, and Ethiopian Alemu Megertu, who took third.
