Africa-Press – Angola. The writer Yola Castro has promoted since Monday (08), in Luanda, two literature courses for children and adolescents, taking place at the Angolan Writers Union (UEA).
The Children’s Literature course lasts four months, while the Literary Influencer course lasts for six months.
Both courses, which take place in the morning and afternoon, aim to train readers and friends of books, literary producers, booksellers and librarians.
The author’s intention “is to make people more participatory and happy within Angolan society”.
According to the writer, the course is open to interested people, as long as they can read. “No matter the area of training, literature is the art of human experiences, and should be part of the curriculum of all existing courses”, defended the author of “O Golozo”.
One of the common aspects in both courses, according to Yola Castro, is to create a taste for reading. “In the children’s literature course, the basic aspects are, creating a taste for reading, and activities around the book and other important aspects in the formation of man”.
Journalist and teacher of Children’s Literature at the Dom Bosco School Complex, Yola Castro has published six works, including “The colorful butterfly and the beautiful Joaninha” (Literary Award 16 June, INALD-2003), and “Collectânea do conto infantil” and “Vuvukyetu”.
