Africa-Press – Angola. The young Angolan, Edmilson Ângelo, will speak at the 1st edition of the “One Young Worlda” summit to be held between the 5th and 8th of September, in the city of Manchester, England.
One Young World aims to bring together some of the brightest young people with social and environmental impact in the world, as well as world leaders, celebrities and large companies from the most diverse sectors, aiming at a more balanced and egalitarian society.
Edmilson Ângelo is the director and founder of an NGO Change 1’s Life (which has been working in Angola since 2014), but he also holds a BA in International Relations from the University of Westminster, a Master’s in African Studies from the University of Oxford, with a course in Public Policy by Harvard University.
He is also in the final phase of his PhD at the University of Sussex (Institute for International Development).
In addition, he is a professor at the University of St.Mary’s London teaching responsible business and at Royal Holloway where he teaches Politics outside the West.
At the age of 29, he has already been on the cover of the magazine “Impacto” at the University of Westminster, having gained notoriety due to his ideas of great social and environmental impact, as well as being named by the OYW as one of the young people with the greatest impact in the world.
The One Young World summit will be attended by members of the British Royal Family, the former Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-Moon, Richard Branson, among other personalities.
