Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Youth and Sports, Palmira Barbosa, said saturday that the National Exhibition of Young Creators, which ends yesterday, at Palácio de Ferro, in downtown Luanda, is one of the great policies of the Executive to promote, among young people, cultural exchange and the exchange of innovative ideas through creative capacity.
The event, which ended yesterday at 18:00, was an initiative of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, through the Angolan Youth Institute, and aimed to promote a preparatory dress rehearsal, exercise the organization and artistic technical framework that was intended for the next year, at the Bienal that Cape Verde hosts.
For the minister, the Exhibition also aimed to stimulate cultural entrepreneurship in young creators, from Cabinda to Cunene. She also said that the activity represents a sublime opportunity to promote, among Angolan youth, cultural exchange and the exchange of innovative experiences, through creative skills.
According to the official, the National Exhibition of Young Creators was a unique moment, so that, on the same stage, young people from different locations in Angola can present their artistic works and live in the same space, exchanging ideas to project the future.
Seven provinces participated in this edition: Luanda, Lunda-Norte, Moxico, Huíla, Huambo, Bié and Namibe. The director general of the Angolan Youth Institute, Yuri Cardoso, said that the event serves as a prelude to the Biennial of Young Creators of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP), which takes place every two years.
The person in charge evaluated the works of art exhibited at the Iron Palace as being of very high quality. He explained that the two days of activity will serve as a contest, whose winners will be part of the Angolan delegation to Cape Verde. The Bienal was scheduled for this month, but was postponed until next year.
