Africa-Press – Angola. Sixty-nine million kwanzas is the value of the micro-credit made available by the Government of Angola to eight cooperatives and 54 young entrepreneurs in the province of Bengo, as part of the implementation of the 2023 interim plan.
In the municipality of Ambriz, five cooperatives and 14 young people benefited with around thirty-three million Kwanzas, while in the commune of Barra do Dande, municipality of Dande, 40 young people and three cooperatives received thirty-six million Kwanzas.
Each cooperative will be able to receive between 5 and 7 million Kwanzas, while young people will receive 500 thousand Kwanzas.
The amount is repayable over a period of 12 months, has an interest rate of 1.67 percent and three months free.
The Secretary of State for Labor and Social Security, Pedro José Filipe, drew the attention of those present to the need to reverse the current unemployment situation in the country.
The vice-governor of Bengo for the Political, Social and Economic sector, José Francisco Pedro, said that the challenge facing the province’s institutions is aimed at encouraging more cooperatives and young entrepreneurs qualified for the next phases.
