Young people called to seek "good experiences" in associativism

Africa-Press – Angola. Youth should seek the best experiences in the world of associations to empower themselves, in order to participate more in the country’s democratic process, without compromising the conquests already achieved by the people, considered Saturday, in this city, the secretary of JMPLA in Huíla , Ilda Martins.

The leader who was speaking at the end of the Youth March in Support of Peace, said that associativism aims to empower young people to participate with a certain performance and in positions of advantage in the country’s democratic processes.

He referred that this participation should not jeopardize the conquests achieved by the Angolan people, above all National Independence, peace, reconciliation, National reconstruction and, above all, forgiveness among Angolans, for which young people must continue to defend unity , cohesion, discipline and the diversity of opinions.

The provincial secretariat of JMPLA stressed that peace has given the youth access to training and new services, creating a patriotic spirit where, with a sense of responsibility, they criticize and point out solutions for the main problems.

“We march because we are committed to preserving peace and national reconciliation as essential goods for healthy coexistence among brothers, as no one is authorized to take away the peace that youth are enjoying”, he reinforced.

The also deputy to the National Assembly stressed that the tasks and objectives of the youth will only be achieved with the work and support of each young person in the country, however they need to remain united, regardless of party colors and religious beliefs.

The first secretary of the MPLA in Huíla, Nuno Mahapi, referred that youth is the driving force of any nation, which is why it is important to have them in moments of unity, working for peace and its conservation, as well as for the development and national unity.

“If we keep peace, we will be able to solve the problems that still afflict our youth, so it is important to maintain cohesion because only together will we be able to solve the problems that persist in youth”, he continued.

Nearly 20,000 young people from academics, politicians, religious and others from civil society, both affiliated to organizations and individually, took part in the Youth March in Support of Peace, which departed from the Lubango Maternity Hospital to Avenida do Rio Mucufi.
