Africa-Press – Angola. A total of 40 young people trained by the National Institute for Employment and Vocational Training (INEFOP), in Namibe province, received, on Friday (22), professional kits, within the scope of the Action Plan for the Promotion of Employability (PAPE).
The young people, who are expected to create other jobs, benefited from material kits for agricultural work, hairdressing, beauty salon, cutting and sewing, metalwork and tile, among other specialties.
At the delivery, the provincial governor of Namibe, Archer Mangueira, explained that the program aims to reduce unemployment, creating conditions for the promotion of self-employment.
“We hope that this new reality will allow the individual growth of each young beneficiary and that, in the future, we will have good examples of overcoming and inspiration for young people in their communities”, he said.
The director-general of INEFOP, Manuel Mbangui, said that the self-employment promotion program appears to highlight the professions that are largely discarded by young people, break the barrier of the concept of employability only in institutions and give continuity to the development process. economic, social and professional development among youth.
The official assured that the PAPE, before giving out the kits, requires the young person to go through a training and counseling process, so that he knows various forms of business management and behavior in the exercise of commercial activity.
“We will continue to train beneficiaries with the best business strategy tools”, he said, to emphasize that the success of this process depends on the rational use of professional equipment that young people receive from the State.
The representative of the Municipal Administration of Moçâmedes, Narciso da Costa, reaffirmed the commitment that the institution has with INEFOP services, both in the formalization and in the legalization of the processes of young people who undergo professional training in order to later benefit from car kits. -job.
On behalf of the beneficiaries, Cipriana Bimbi, 34, who benefited from a professional sewing kit, praised the Government’s initiative, which places young people as a priority in combating unemployment and allowing them to develop skills aimed at economic and individual growth. easily and comprehensively.
