Africa-Press – Angola. Young people from different social strata in Cuando Cubango were urged, in the city of Menongue, to extend their actions to combat corruption and nepotism, bearing in mind that these evils have created countless problems for social stabilization in the country.
The exhortation was made by the director of the Provincial Office of Culture, Youth and Sports of Cuando Cubango, José Eduardo Ezequias, during the presentation of the National Youth Prize, which is in its 2nd edition.
José Eduardo Ezequias said, Friday, that the only way to improve the province’s social situation is based on academic and technical-professional training and not only with leadership positions, but with the capacity that each individual has in society.
“We will work to encourage academic and professional training among young people, so that they stop thinking about holding management and leadership positions as the only step to improving their living conditions”, said the official, adding that the best way to moralizing society is not with words, but with positive actions among youth. For Eduardo Ezequias, the actions of young people cannot only be to obtain prizes, but to transform the lives of others, especially by promoting self-employment. “It is necessary to work with youth associations to promote the promotion of self-employment”, he argued.
