Africa-Press – Angola. The vice-governor of Zaire for the political, social and economic sector, Afonso Nzolameso, urged this Friday, in the town of Cuimba, the local youth to contribute with their knowledge in the social and economic development of the region.
According to the official who was speaking at the commemorative act of April 14, Angolan Youth Day, the Executive remains committed to creating better living conditions for this fringe that has always played a crucial role in different stages of the country.
“Angola needs young people moved by patriotic feelings and committed to peace and development”, he asserted.
He added that the social and economic development of any country can only be achieved with work, discipline and respect for national sovereignty bodies.
He underlined that the Angolan Executive, led by President João Lourenço, is attentive to the main concerns that still afflict the youth, mainly in the fields of employment, housing and academic and professional training.
Afonso Nzolameso spoke of some structuring projects under construction by the Government in some municipalities, with emphasis on the General Hospital of Zaire and the new Mbanza Kongo airport.
On the occasion, he announced the start, later this year, of the construction works of two centralities in the municipalities of Mbanza Kongo and Soyo.
He referred that the Executive also intends to build low-income urbanizations in all municipalities in the region, to reduce the lack of housing and make the dream of owning a home come true for many young people.
The municipality of Cuimba is 62 kilometers from the city of Mbanza Kongo and has an estimated population of over 70,000 inhabitants.
