Africa-Press – Angola. The deputy representative of the Council of Christian Churches in Angola (CICA) in Zaire, Mayenzamene Garcia, appealed this Monday, in Mbanza Kongo, to competing politicians to respect the results of tomorrow’s election.
Speaking during the ecumenical worship held in favor of the General Elections, which took place in the space adjacent to the II Zaire Government building, he said that CICA has faith and hope that the election will go smoothly.
According to Mayenzamene Garcia, every Angolan citizen must contribute to the preservation of peace to serve future generations throughout the national territory, because the people suffered a lot to achieve peace.
“The preservation of peace allows us to move forward and makes a difference on the African continent, which is why I appeal to voters to locate polling stations to exercise their civic duty and return home”, he reinforced.
