Africa-Press – Angola. The Zambian ambassador to Angola, Lawrence Chalungumana, defended, in Luanda, the increase of trade cooperation between the two countries, in view of the existing potential for bilateral cooperation.
Speaking to press, in the municipality of Belas, on the sidelines of the International Agribusiness Fair, which took place from the 9th to the 11th of the current month, in the Mangais area of Barra do Cuanza, the diplomat highlighted cooperation in the sectors of agro-business. livestock and fisheries.
The diplomat considered the cooperation relations between the two countries excellent and highlighted the agreement between Angola and Zambia in the field of agriculture and livestock, for creating a business environment that favors commercial cooperation between Angolan and Zambian businessmen,
“My message to Angola is that we can do business between the south zone and the neighbourhood. It is necessary to start with the neighboring countries to reach the point of expanding to the whole of Africa and then to the other continents”, said the diplomat.
Lawrence Chalungumana pointed out the poor state of communication routes as one of the factors that have hindered regular commercial exchanges between the two countries.
On the occasion, ambassador Lawrence Chalungumana, raised the possibility of a visit by the President of his country to Angola, in January next year.
120 companies from the sectors of Agriculture, Livestock, Technologies, Commerce, Industry, Insurance, Banking, Restaurants and Service from the provinces of Luanda, Cuanza-sul, Bengo, Huíla, Cunene, Malange, Huambo, Namibia, South Africa participated in the fair. , Brazil, Portugal, Namibia and Zambia.
