Earlier this week, President Cyril Ramaphosa outlined South Africa’s plan to import electricity from neighbouring countries to supplement the constrained power supply. Eskom has confirmed that it is in talks with the Botswana Power Company about the possibility of importing power from the entity, as well as from other countries that have capacity.
