Africa-Press – Botswana. Police in Palapye are investigating a murder case in which a 56-year-old man was fatally stabbed by assailants while his 20-year-old son barely made it out alive.
The incident happened at Top Notch Bar in Topisi where the duo was grooving. Confirming the tragic news, officer in charge of No. 2 District Paul Oketsang stated that the two were at the famous bar in Topisi where they were attacked by three men who unlawfully stabbed them.
“We received a report of unlawful wounding at Top Notch Bar where a 56-year-old man and son were attacked by three men,” Oketsang revealed. The officer-in-charge explained that the two victims were then rushed to Nyangabwe Hospital in Francistown where the father succumbed to the injuries.
“The 56-year-old passed away within a day while the 20-year-old is still recovering at the hospital,” Oketsang disclosed. He also said the culprits have been apprehended and are still in police custody. “The accused persons are three men all middle-aged,” he said.
Oketsang highlighted that when people go out to bars and clubs, they should desist from engaging in conflicts because it never ends so well for many people.
