Africa-Press – Botswana. In a generous act of community support, First Capital Bank donated P50 000 to Gaborone City Council Choir for the purchase of new uniforms. Known for its harmonious performances, the choir will now be able to present itself in fresh, new attire.

Speaking during the donation in Gaborone Monday, His Worship, the Mayor of Gaborone, Mr Austin Abraham, expressed gratitude for the donation, noting that the new uniforms will enhance the choir’s appearance and boost its members’ morale.

Mr Abraham said the contribution will not only help their choir look their best but also inspire them to continue sharing their musical talents with the community.

He said the uniform was more than just clothing, as it symbolised the recognition of talent that existed within the council.

First Capital Bank Head of Marketing and Communications, Ms Hajra Mahomed-Tajbhai, said the donation was testament of First Capital Bank’s dedication to supporting meaningful initiatives and strengthening its ties with the community, and demonstrated the bank’s support for local talent and the arts.
