Africa-Press – Botswana. As part of her ongoing State Visit to Botswana, Her Excellency Droupadi Murmu, President of India, visited the Diamond Trading Company Botswana (DTCB). The visit offered an in-depth view of Botswana’s diamond sector, a key driver of the country’s economy.
Honourable Bogolo Kenewendo, Minister of Minerals and Energy, said the engagement allowed the President to observe the processes that have made Botswana’s diamond industry globally respected. These include sorting, valuation, and trading procedures that ensure transparency and responsible mineral development.
