Africa-Press – Botswana. With the exception of African countries, with five places guaranteed, the other participants of the 28th edition of the Senior Men’s Handball World Championship are already known, whose draw took place in the Polish city of Katowice.

Running from the 11th to the 29th of January 2023, the competition under the aegis of the International Federation (IHF) is co-organized by Poland and Sweden, and for the second time has the participation of 32 teams.

The African Cup of Nations (CAN) taking place in Egypt from the 11th to the 19th of the current year is a qualifier for the World Cup. Like other teams, the national “seven” under the orders of José Pereira “Kidó” aims to be present in the competition.

Nine cities host the World event, including four from Poland and five from Sweden. Tauron (Krakow Arena), Ergo (Gdansk), Spodek (Katowice) and Orlen (Plock Arena) are Polish cities and pavilions.

Stockholm (Arena Tele2), Malmo (Arena), Gothenburg (Scandinavium), Kristianstad (Arena) and Jonkoping (Husqvarna Garden) are the cities and sports venues.
