Africa-Press – Botswana. This year’s edition of the African Attire on Fleek billed for the Royal Aria in Tlokweng tomorrow promises to be much bigger and better after organisers booked a record number of performing artists compared to the previous shows.
Event orgainser, Colourful People Entertainment, have gone all out to make it even memorable by increasing the number of performing artistes from the previous sessions.
The establishment is bringing four international artistes to this year’s African Attire on Fleek. This is the first time since inception that the event would have so many international artistes performing at the same edition. Not only that, the event as it is a norm, has chosen some of the best local artistes to give its followers endless entertainment. The international acts includes Big Zulu, a South African rapper, whose music is mostly in Zulu language, PJ Powers AKA Thandeka famed with songs like Everybody Has A Dream, Jabulani, There is An Answer, among others. There is also Malome Vector from Lesotho but currently staying in South Africa, signed under Umuthi record label known for hit songs like Dumelang and Nobody. The controversial and beautiful Kelly Khumalo whose songs include Ngathwala Ngae, Nguye Lo, Empini will also perform at the event. The lead acts are expected to bring nothing but endless entertainment for night crawlers.
However, on the local side the line-up is beaming with nothing but talent. Some of the local talented artistes expected to keep revellers on their toes includes Dato Seiko, Motlha, Ketz Johnson, dikware maestro Dr Vom and Ditiro Leero. On the decks will be some of the talented DJs in the likes of DJ Lexx, DJ Bunny, Deezy Dee and others. As usual the revelers are expected to put on their best African outfits. Even though it has been a while since the event was established, the Gaborone event had to be put on halt for a year. Moreover, it will be the first time it changes venues since from day one before it was even taken to other areas, it started at Bojanala Waterfront in Gaborone.
In an interview with the event coordinator David Letshwiti Wednesday, he indicated that they believe that a change of venue would create memorable experience for revelers. He added that they have also introduced the golden circle, which has a theme that celebrates different cultures within the country including those that the public is not aware exist locally. This year the golden circle theme is Xhosa wear. The event is expected to start at 10am till 6am the next day.
