Africa-Press – Botswana. The Ministry of Health will consider extending the hours of operation of Borolong Clinic to a 24-hour facility as the facility is upgraded to maternity providing clinic.
Answering a question in Parliament recently, Assistant Minister of Health Mr Lawrence Ookeditse explained that the project was earmarked for implementation through the Development Manager Model (DM), but was one of the suspended projects.
However, he said that all the DM projects were under review and the exercise together with the availability of funds for actual construction works would assist in determining the most appropriate mode and timelines for the actual construction works.
MP for Shashe West, Mr Jeremiah Frenzel had asked the minister when Borolong Clinic would start operating as a 24-hour facility, taking into consideration the population size of Borolong and its catchment areas.
