Africa-Press – Botswana. Botswana’s medal hunt continues on Day Four of the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo with five local athletes in action.

The 400m trio of Bayapo Ndori, Collen Kebinatshipi and Lee Eppie will line up in the semi-finals while Tshepiso Masalela and Kethobogile Haingura begin their 800m campaign in the preliminary rounds. Haingura will kick off the campaign in heat one, lane nine at 12:35 pm, with Masalela following at 13.20pm running in heat six on lane three. Eppie will start the semi-finals in heat one, running in lane six at 14.35pm, Kebinatshipi follows in heat two, on lane three at 14.43 pm while Ndori will be in heat three, lane five at 14.51pm. Ndori goes into the semi-final round motivated after winning his preliminary round clocking 44.36, following it up with his brilliant run at the Diamond League final where he finished in second spot. Eppie also has shown potential of proceeding to the final after his good performance during the first round, where he finished second. For his part, Kebinatshipi will have to dig deep if he is to proceed to the final if his preliminary round performance is anything to go by.
