Africa-Press – Botswana. Twelve national teams, including from Mozambique, start next weekend, the discussion of the continental football title in the sub’20 category, which will take place in three cities in Egypt, from 19 February to 11 March .

These are the selections of Egypt (host) and Tunisia (Northern region), Nigeria and Benin (West B zone), Senegal and Gambia (West A), Uganda and South Sudan (Central West), Mozambique and Zambia (Southern region ), Central African Republic (CAR) and Congo Brazzaville (Central Africa).

Angola, remember, failed to qualify during the southern continent tournament (COSAFA), as well as Ghana, winner of the last edition of the under-20 CAN, which was in the last position of the Oeste B qualifying test.

It should be recalled that the under-20 category’s CAN has as its biggest winner Nigeria, who won the competition on seven occasions, followed by Ghana and Egypt, with four each, Angola, Cameroon, Mali, Zambia, Algeria, Morocco and Republic of Congo with one achievement each.

The under-20 Africa Cup of Nations will take place in Egypt, from February 19 to March 11, 2023, in the cities of Cairo, Suez Canal and Alexandria, organized by the Continental Confederation of the sport (CAF).
