Africa-Press – Botswana. Algeria-Niger and Senegal-Madagascar will play next Tuesday (31) the semi-finals of the seventh edition of CHAN’2023 in football, which takes place in Algerian lands.
In the quarter-finals, Algeria, the organizing country, beat Côte d’Ivoire on Friday, with a 1-0 triumph, the same result with which Senegal overcame Mauritania.
Saturday, Madagascar eliminated Mozambique, by 3-1, while Niger surpassed Ghana (2-0).
The challenge for third place is scheduled for Friday, at Miloud Hadefi Stadium, starting at 8 pm.
The final will be played on Saturday, at the Nelson Mandela stadium, in the City of Algiers (8 pm)
Angola, remember, was included in group D, alongside Mali and Mauritania, while Morocco, champions in title, withdrew from the competition reserved for players who evolve in the respective championships.
