Africa-Press – Botswana. A 50-member Chinese Golf Association has donated a television set, a microphone and music box during the annual golf tournament in Gaborone on November 17.
Mr Jerry Cheng, the chairperson of Chinese Golf Assosiation, said they were donating the microphone and music box to Molapowabojang kgotla while the television set was for Matsheng Junior Secondary School in Kweneng.
Mr Cheng said the Chinese Golf Day was sponsored by the golf association members who also invited friends, business partners who participated in the event.
He said they were grateful for the support they received from sponsors.
Receiving the television set on behalf of Macheng school Ms Lucretia Chima of BOPA said they were grateful for the donation.
She said she hoped the television would go a long way in entertaining students who were out of entertainment resources at the school.
She also said she hoped to continue their cordial and mutual relations with the Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Charity Association of Chinese in Botswana.
Representing Access Bank, Ms Collin Motswagae said they were grateful to have been able to participate and sponsor the event.
She said theme underpinning the outcomes of the annual event resonated with those of the Access Bank.
