Botswana-listed tourism and hospitality group Chobe Holdings Limited (BSE:CHOBE) reported a 17% rise in revenue to BWP449.0mn ($33mn) for the six months ended August 31, 2025, supported by improved operational performance across its tourism assets. The group said trading conditions continued to normalise as traveller volumes recovered.
Profit before tax increased 20% to BWP195.2mn, reflecting stronger margins and cost discipline. Net profit for the period reached BWP144.1mn, translating to earnings per share of 162.74 thebe.
The company said total assets rose to BWP894.4mn at end-August, underscoring continued investment in its hospitality, safari and ecotourism portfolio. Cash generated from operations amounted to BWP233.1mn during the period.
Chobe Holdings did not declare an interim dividend, noting that future distributions will be considered in line with capital requirements and operating conditions across its Botswana properties.
The group said it remains focused on strengthening its tourism offering and managing operating costs as activity stabilises across key source markets.
Chobe operates high-end safari lodges, camps and related ecotourism services across northern Botswana and parts of southern Africa. The company is one of the country’s major players in nature-based tourism, with assets concentrated in the Okavango Delta, Chobe National Park and Linyanti regions.
