COMMUNITIES RESIDING ALONGSIDE WILDLIFE AREAS PRESENT PETITION

Africa-Press – Botswana. Ngamiland Council of Non-Governmental Organisations, representing communities residing alongside wildlife areas throughout Botswana,held a march from the National Stadium grounds to the British High Commission in Gaborone on March 12 to present a petition against the UK Hunting Trophies (Import Prohibition) Bill.

The petition was presented by Chobe Enclave Conservation Trust chairperson, Mr Poniso Shamukuni to British High Commission nature and climate lead, Mr Mark Ssemakula, who received it on behalf of the high commissioner.
