Africa-Press – Botswana. Motherwell Investments sales eepresentative, Ms Wame Mbilabela has appreciated how their product, Real Tea, has been received well in the market.
In an interview during the Business Botswana Northern Trade Fair, Ms Mbilabela said the tea, made from selected leaves that were perfectly blended to give a rich and tasty cup of tea, was a favourite with the consumers.
“Real Tea has been received with open hands by those who like quenching thirst with the desired aroma, she said, adding that the beverage was produced from Black Tea (camellia Sinesis) exported from Malawi.
She said the tea leaves comes raw while processing, grinding, blending and packaging processes were done locally.
According to Ms Mbilabela, the packages range from 50g, 125g, 500g loose leaves and 20s and 40s teabags.
She said since opening doors for manufacturing of Real Tea in 2018, they have been distributing to supermarkets and retail stores around the country.
Ms Mbilabela noted that supply differed depending on the season, saying in winter they experienced increase in order numbers.
She said most of their customers credited their tea for relaxing the body and reducing stress level and latching of joints.
“Some say it stabilises blood pressure and sugar diabetes and is not addictive,” she said.
She noted that the company boast of more than 60 employees and six mobile offices.
One of the customers who had the opportunity to taste the tea, Ms Ellen Rakwadi said she enjoyed her first taste of the tea and appreciated that it was sold at a reasonable price.
However she called for more marketing of the brand for its visibility in the market, saying she did not know much about it.
The theme of the fair was: Promoting Economic Growth Through Industrialisation.
