Africa-Press – Botswana. The family of former Radio Botswana’s agricultural programme Thibang Diphotlha presenter, Mr Baleseng Justice Baleseng, commonly known as BJ, has confirmed his death.
His sister, Ms Kgomotso Baleseng, said his brother shot himself on Friday morning and was certified dead on arrival at the hospital. She said family members who stayed with him heard a gunshot from his room and when they went to investigate, they found him unconscious next to a shotgun.
Funeral arrangements are not yet concluded while the body is awaiting post mortem.
Mr Baleseng, 80, as popularly known for his presentation of Thibang Diphotlha, during his stint with the Ministry of Agriculture. He later became a customary court president in Lobatse before joining the Customary Court of Appeal.
He is survived by wife, 11 children and grandchildren. Ends
