FIB begins expelled clubs’ reviews

Africa-Press – Botswana. The First Instance Body (FIB) starts reviewing applications today for five clubs initially expelled for failing to meet Club Licensing requirements.

The five; Mogoditshane Fighters, Masitaoka, Extension Gunners, Morupule Wanderers and Eleven Angels will keep their fingers crossed that the process returns a positive outcome.

In their attempts, the clubs had failed to convince the FIB and then the Appeals Board, to grant them a licence to participate in the 2022–2023 Premier League season.

However, following the intervention of the Botswana Football Association National Executive Committee, the five were thrown a lifeline. The clubs were given until yesterday to re-submit their applications, with the FIB expected to deliver its verdict by the end of the day tomorrow.

If any club is aggrieved about the FIB outcome, they will then lodge their appeal with the Appeals Board.

The outcome from the Appeals Board is expected by next week Thursday, which will be final and binding. If any clubs fail to convince either the FIB or the Appeals Board, they will be relegated to the lowest division.
